Vintage 1970 Seiko 7019-6000 Serviced JDM Original Bracelet
This 7019-6000 is one of those special domestic market pieces that perfectly captures the bold, experimental spirit of early 1970s Seiko design. This watch has also just undergone a service by us to ensure reliability and longevity.
Produced in January 1970, this example features strong vintage styling, subtle pops of colour, and the distinctive bracelet that collectors have come to love. It also retains its original instructions, a rare collectible in itself.
The robust cushion-shaped stainless steel case is original and unpolished, with sharp, sturdy corners and a substantial bezel that gives the watch real wrist presence. The matte black dial remains in excellent condition, offering a clean and timeless contrast to the bold monument style hour markers. These applied markers, complete with their original luminous plots, provide excellent legibility and add to the watch’s unmistakable character.
The internal rotating bezel is operated via the crown and turns smoothly in both directions. The day and date display, available in both English and Kanji, can be adjusted independently, a practical feature that reflects Seiko’s technical ingenuity of the period.
Powering the watch is Seiko’s reliable 7019 automatic movement, known for its durability and everyday wearability.
This piece is fitted with its original and correct Seiko 5 Sports stainless steel “cut-out” link bracelet, a fantastic and increasingly hard to find detail that completes the watch exactly as it would have been sold in 1970.
A Note on Vintage Watch Ownership
Vintage mechanical watches, while robust and reliable, are not as precise as modern quartz timepieces and may require periodic servicing. Some gentle wear and natural patina should be expected with an original watch of this age. Treated with care, it will continue to be enjoyed for many years to come.
At TEMPO PRIMA, we believe vintage watches should not be worn in water, regardless of their original specifications. We do not pressure-test vintage watches and therefore cannot guarantee water resistance. To preserve the longevity and integrity of these timepieces, we strongly recommend keeping them dry and avoiding any exposure to moisture.
