TEMPO PRIMA began with a personal fascination with vintage watches and has grown into an independent business dedicated to finding, preserving and sharing interesting timepieces from the past.
Based on the Gold Coast, Australia, we specialise in vintage watches, with a particular appreciation for Japanese watches from Seiko and other manufacturers, alongside carefully selected Swiss pieces.
Every watch is personally sourced and considered. We look beyond simply finding an old watch for sale, we’re interested in originality, condition, character and the details that make a particular example worth collecting.
THE PERSON BEHIND TEMPO PRIMA
I’m David Robinson, and TEMPO PRIMA is very much a hands on business.
I personally handle the watches from the moment they arrive. That means sourcing and researching pieces, inspecting their originality and condition, servicing movements where required, photographing them and writing each listing.
Much of our collection is sourced personally, including from Japan, where I regularly search for interesting vintage watches and original examples.
Keeping the business small and hands on is intentional.
It means I can take the time to understand each watch before offering it for sale, rather than simply treating vintage watches as inventory.
