Vintage 1981 Seiko 7549-7000 Titanium 600M JDM Professional Dive Watch Serviced
This exceptional factory-original 1981 Seiko 7549-7000 “Golden Tuna” is a highly collectible Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) model, complete with a desirable bilingual English/Kanji day wheel. Powered by Seiko’s renowned quartz 7549 movement, it has just undergone a full service and has been fitted with a new Seiko battery. Following service, the watch has been carefully adjusted and tested on a Seiko Quartz Tester, achieving an outstanding accuracy of ±0.01 seconds per day.
Famously worn by Roger Moore as James Bond in For Your Eyes Only (1981), this model features a full titanium case and the iconic protective shroud design that defines the Tuna series. The screw-down crown operates smoothly, while the quickset day/date and hacking functions perform exactly as intended.
This example remains 100% original, with its original dial and hand lume still intact. The case retains its original factory finish and has not been refinished in anyway. It presents in excellent vintage condition, showing only light signs of age and careful use, with no heavy wear or damage.
The watch is fitted with a brand new Seiko flat vent dive strap and Seiko fat spring bars, and retains its original Gold nitrate buckle that we transferred to the new strap.
A Note on Vintage Watch Ownership
Vintage watches, while robust and reliable, may not be as precise as modern quartz timepieces and require periodic servicing. Some gentle wear and natural patina should be expected with an original watch of this age.
