Vintage 1975 Seiko Grandfather Tuna 6159-7010 Serviced Original
A true collector’s piece. This legendary Seiko 6159-7010 is a rare find, produced in extremely limited numbers and now highly sought after by serious Seiko collectors worldwide.
This is a 100% genuine, Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) model from July 1975, featuring hacking and quickset date. It’s just been fully serviced (July 2025), and is keeping excellent time.
The condition is superb for a 50 year old diver. The original dial and hand lume are beautifully preserved. This Watch retains its factory original finish, unpolished, with only normal signs of wear consistent with age. The screw down crown is smooth, and the bezel turns with a crisp, positive click.
Fitted with a brand new Seiko flat vent dive strap and Seiko fat spring bars. Please note: This Watch has not been pressure tested and should not be assumed to be waterproof.
At Tempo Prima, we’re an official Australian dealer for Uncle Seiko products. If you’d prefer a different strap, feel free to get in touch, we have a wide selection available on our website.
Please review all photos and video carefully, they form an important part of the description and show the watch’s condition in detail.
A Note on Vintage Watches:
Mechanical watches don’t keep perfect time like quartz. They occasionally require service, and wear or patina is part of their charm. While built to last, vintage watches can be damaged if dropped or mishandled, please wear and handle with care.
We hope you enjoy this exceptional piece, and wear it in good health for years to come!
