Vintage 1973 Seiko Diver 'Willard' 6105-8110 Serviced With Original Strap
An outstanding example of the iconic Seiko 6105-8110 diver’s watch, manufactured in December 1973 and presented in remarkable original condition. The Seiko 6105 has earned legendary status among collectors and enthusiasts, having gained a reputation for reliability and toughness during the Vietnam War era, where it was a popular choice among military personnel and professional divers alike.
This watch retains its original character exceptionally well, with a beautifully preserved dial, hands, case, and bezel that display the honest ageing and patina expected of a watch over fifty years old. The original lume remains in very good condition, contributing to the watch’s authentic vintage appeal.
The watch has been fully serviced by us at TEMPO PRIMA, including the replacement of all seals, and is running strongly with excellent performance on the timegrapher. The movement is clean and healthy, ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
The case remains unpolished and retains its original factory finishing, with only minor signs of careful use. Importantly, there are no significant tool marks or signs of abuse, making this one of the finer original examples we have encountered.
Included with the watch is its original Seiko rubber strap, which remains in very good condition for its age. For everyday wear, we have also fitted a brand new Uncle Seiko waffle strap, providing the classic vintage dive watch appearance while preserving the original strap.
As the sole Australian dealer for Uncle Seiko products, TEMPO PRIMA carries a wide range of Uncle Seiko straps. If you would prefer an alternative style, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss available options.
Please study the photographs and video carefully, as they form an important part of the description and accurately represent the condition of the watch being offered.
A Note on Vintage Watch Ownership
Vintage mechanical watches, while robust and reliable, are not as precise as modern quartz timepieces and require periodic servicing. Some gentle wear, ageing, and natural patina should be expected with an original watch of this age.
With appropriate care, a vintage watch can continue to provide enjoyment for generations. At TEMPO PRIMA, we believe vintage watches should not be worn in water, regardless of their original specifications. We do not pressure-test vintage watches and therefore cannot guarantee water resistance. To preserve the longevity and integrity of these historic timepieces, we strongly recommend keeping them dry and avoiding exposure to moisture.
