Vintage 1973 King Seiko Date Hi-Beat Chronometer 5625-7041 JDM Original
This King Seiko Chronometer (ref. 5625-7041) was produced in February 1973 and has just been serviced by us. It is very running well and performing as it should.
Manufactured at the Daini Seikosha (Seiko) factory in Japan, this 56KS was officially certified by the Japan Chronometer Inspection Institute, confirming its chronometer grade status. The 5625-7041 is the date version and follows the renowned Grand Seiko “Grammar of Design”, with its sharp lines and refined case architecture.
The example presented here is in overall very good condition. The case shows honest signs of wear consistent with age (see photos). The case back is in very good condition with no tool marks. The dial and hands are in excellent original condition (see video).
The watch is keeping very good time. Hacking functions correctly, and the date change operates as it should, including the quickset feature. The case retains its original factory polish with attractive patina and has not been re-polished.
It comes fitted with a new leather strap. The seals are original and aged, and as such the watch is not currently waterproof.
Please study the photos and video carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the condition of the watch in detail.
Important Note on Water Resistance
At TEMPO PRIMA, we believe vintage watches should not be worn in water, regardless of their original specifications. We do not pressure-test vintage watches and therefore cannot guarantee water resistance. To preserve the longevity and integrity of these timepieces, we strongly recommend keeping them dry and avoiding any exposure to moisture.
