Vintage 1972 Seiko Speed-Timer 6139-8010 Chronograph Automatic Watch JDM
Stunning Seiko 6139 Chronograph watch from November 1972. This Watch is all original except for the Bracelet, The original Dial and hands are in amazing condition with all original lume. The Case is also in very good condition, with just a few marks, mostly by the crown. This Watch is keeping excellent time and the date and day roll over at midnight as they should. English and Kanji day wheel. Quickset Day and Date works good, but I find that you need to adjust the date first ( by pushing the crown in half way ) and then push the crown in all the way to adjust the day of week. Once you adjust the day you have to wait or move the hands a 24hr cycle to be able to adjust the date again. Chronograph works good also and resets but sometimes it doesn't quite reset to zero and may be a second or two off. Also don't push the reset button while the Chrono is running or that button may get stuck in, requiring caseback removal to push the button back out. Service History Unknown, but Watch is running very well, personally I would wear the Watch with the chrono running constantly as the second hand.
Please study the photos and video carefully as they show the condition of the watch in more detail.
Owning a Vintage Watch:
Mechanical watches do not keep perfect time like a battery-powered watch. In addition, they do require service occasionally.
Since these pieces are vintage or pre-owned, please expect wear and patina from past usage and age.
If dropped, mishandled or otherwise abused, the movement or other parts of the watch can be damaged. Please handle with care.
We hope you enjoy this item and wear it in good health for years to come!
