Vintage 1972 Seiko Speed-Timer 6139-6032 JDM Serviced Original
A well-preserved example of Seiko’s 6139-6032 automatic chronograph, dating to July 1972.
This example has been carefully preserved in its original form, retaining its original dial, hands and lume, along with the original orange chronograph hand.
The case retains its original factory finish, with light wear consistent with its age. The overall condition gives the watch the character of a genuine vintage Seiko without having been refinished or polished.
The 6139 automatic chronograph movement has been fully serviced by TEMPO PRIMA, including complete disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and fresh lubrication. New seals have also been fitted. The movement has been tested and is running accurately.
It is fitted to its original Seiko bracelet, which is in excellent condition and measures approximately 19.3 cm.

Preservation over restoration
At TEMPO PRIMA, we believe vintage watches are best appreciated for what they are. We do not polish cases or refinish original surfaces simply to make an old watch appear new.
Natural wear, ageing and patina are part of the history of a vintage watch. Where possible, our approach is to preserve these original details rather than replace them.
This 6139-6032 is a good example of that philosophy, an original vintage Seiko that has been serviced for continued use while retaining the character it has acquired over more than five decades.
Vintage ownership
A vintage mechanical watch is not expected to perform with the precision of a modern quartz watch and will require periodic servicing as part of its ownership.
Despite their original specifications, we recommend that vintage watches are kept away from water. TEMPO PRIMA does not pressure test vintage watches and cannot guarantee water resistance. Keeping the watch dry is the best way to protect the dial, movement, hands and other original components for the future.
