Vintage 1971 Seiko 6105-8110 Serviced With Box Willard Divers Watch All Original

AU$4,195.00Price

The Seiko 6105-8110 is one of the most iconic dive watches in Seiko’s history and a true milestone in Vintage dive watch design. Introduced in 1970, it was Seiko’s third major dive watch, following the 62MAS and 6105-8000. It gained cult status after appearing on the wrist of Martin Sheen as Captain Willard in Apocalypse Now, earning it the enduring nickname “The Willard.”

This particular example was manufactured in January 1971 and is a rare survivor, 100% original and in exceptional condition throughout. It includes the original box, original crystal, original factory issued Seiko strap, and even the original long sweep seconds hand, a detail often lost during servicing in period, when many were replaced with the shorter version. Its presence here underscores the watch’s incredible originality and collector grade status.

Key Features:

• Date of Manufacture: January 1971

• Movement: Seiko Calibre 6105B automatic, just serviced and running accurately

• Case: Unpolished with original factory brushing,  sharp lines and bevels remain intact

Additional Notes:

The 6105-8110 “Willard” is a cornerstone in Seiko’s dive watch legacy, and finding one in this kind of untouched, complete condition is increasingly difficult. The combination of the original long seconds hand, unpolished case, factory strap, and original box makes this a particularly special example for any serious collector.

Please review all photos carefully, as they form part of the description and show the remarkable originality and condition of this piece.

A Note on Vintage Watch Ownership:

Vintage mechanical watches, while reliable, are not as precise as modern quartz pieces and may require occasional servicing. Some gentle wear and patina should be expected with any original piece of this age. Handle with care, and it will serve you well for many years to come.
