Vintage 1968 Seiko 4006-7000 Bell-Matic Serviced JDM Watch
Stunning, fully serviced, and all original 1969 Seiko Bell-Matic ref. 4006-7000, fitted with its original stainless steel Seiko bracelet. The Bell-Matic holds a special place in Seiko history as one of the world’s first automatic wristwatches with a mechanical alarm, showcasing Seiko’s technical ambition during the golden age of Japanese watchmaking.
The 4006-7000 is instantly recognisable by its distinctive inner rotating alarm bezel, twin crowns, and beautifully balanced dial layout. The mechanical alarm function is powered by a separate mainspring and delivers a crisp, unmistakable chime, a true mechanical complication, entirely in house by Seiko.
This watch has just been serviced and is running very well with stable timekeeping. The alarm function operates correctly, as do the day and date change mechanisms, including the quick-set feature for the date.
The original stainless steel bracelet is in excellent vintage condition and completes the watch exactly as intended when new. Watch measures 20cm laying flat.
