Vintage 1968 Grand Seiko GS45 HI-BEAT 4520-8000 Hand Winding

Stunning Grand Seiko 4520-8000 Hi-Beat watch from September 1968. For anyone looking for the classic no-date  “Grammar of Design”, Grand Seiko with a 36,000 bph manual wound movement this is the only reference that ticks all the boxes, and is far more desirable than that date models among collectors.
The particular example presented here is in amazing original condition with an even nateral warm patina to the dial and a case that shows no signs of repolishing ( with sharp well defined contours, edges ), just an honest amount of wear, but far better than most available.
This Watch is keeping great time, but service history is not known, there is a service mark inside the case back for 2019 but more than likely it is due a Service if worn daily. Seals are orignal and old so no longer water resistant.
