Vintage 1967 Seiko 6217-8001 Serviced Rare JDM Divers Watch All Original
First launched in 1965, the Seiko 62MAS was the brand’s original debut in the underwater world, and it served as the foundation for countless other Seiko dive watches that would be released during the years that followed. With its utilitarian appearance, highly legible dial, and clean case shape without crown guards, the Seiko Diver 62MAS embodies everything that we love about early dive watches. The example available here is in very good overall condition, and was made in April 1967, it does show normal signs of use and age, but no abuse, bad knocks or tool marks. The all original dial and hand lume show some of the "wabi" that this model is known for but is in far better condition than most and does show the original date stap on back of the 4th month of 1967. The case back is one of the best I have seen with a very well defined stamping. Fitted with new premium Uncle Seiko Tropic strap and fat springbars.Just serviced and keeping very good time, quick set date also working perfectly. Seals are Original and old, so not currently waterproof. We (Tempo Prima) are the sole Australian dealer for Uncle Seiko Products with a large range available on our website, if you would prefer a different strap please talk to us.Please study the photos and video carefully as they show the condition of the watch in more detail.
Owning a Vintage Watch:
Mechanical watches do not keep perfect time like a battery-powered watch. In addition, they do require service occasionally.
Since these pieces are vintage or pre-owned, please expect wear and patina from past usage and age.
If dropped, mishandled or otherwise abused, the movement or other parts of the watch can be damaged. Please handle with care.
We hope you enjoy this item and wear it in good health for years to come!
