Vintage 1962 International Watch Company (IWC) Cal853 35mm Watch
A classic mid century IWC, dating to 1962 and powered by the renowned Calibre 853 automatic movement.
The stainless steel case remains unpolished, retaining its original lines and showing light natural wear. The original dial has developed an even, eggshell-like patina, giving it a soft, understated character that changes subtly with the light.
Inside is IWC’s Calibre 853, featuring the ingenious Pellaton automatic winding system, beautifully finished with Geneva stripes and bevelled edges. The movement has just been fully serviced by us and is running beautifully.
Fitted with a Japanese made Bambi Oscar stainless steel bracelet, this is an honest vintage IWC that retains the character of its era.

A Note on Vintage Watch Ownership
Vintage mechanical watches, while robust and reliable, are not as precise as modern quartz timepieces and may require periodic servicing. Some gentle wear and natural patina should be expected with an original watch of this age. Treated with care, it will continue to be enjoyed for many years to come.
At TEMPO PRIMA, we believe vintage watches should not be worn in water, regardless of their original specifications. We do not pressure-test vintage watches and therefore cannot guarantee water resistance. To preserve the longevity and integrity of these timepieces, we strongly recommend keeping them dry and avoiding any exposure to moisture.
