1973 Seiko 5 Actus SS 6106-7690 Green Dial Unworn Serviced Original

An exceptional survivor from Seiko’s golden era of Japanese watchmaking. Manufactured in November 1973, this Seiko 5 Actus SS Ref. 6106-7690 combines distinctive 1970s design with a particularly interesting history.
 
Remarkably, this example has remained unworn for over 50 years, retaining its original Seiko Actus retail tags and accompanying period labels. While decades of storage have left some superficial scuffs and marks, the watch has never been worn on the wrist, making it an unusual find for collectors of original vintage Seiko.
 
The standout feature is its beautiful green sunburst dial, which shifts in tone depending on the light. Bold faceted hour markers, polished hands and a striking multi-faceted crystal give the watch a distinctly Japanese 1970s aesthetic. The angular stainless steel case retains its original character and is complemented by its matching integrated bracelet.
 
Inside is Seiko’s 25-jewel automatic Calibre 6106, featuring a bilingual English and Japanese Kanji day-date display. The Actus SS designation refers to its second-setting function, allowing the seconds hand to be stopped for accurate time setting.
 
We have just completed a full movement service, ensuring the watch is mechanically ready to be enjoyed after more than five decades.
